R. Glen Woods

Glen was the founder of the firm until his sudden passing on April 1, 2018, he was the architect and engine of the great things the firm accomplished.

Mr. Woods studied accounting at Brigham Young University, where he received his bachelor’s degree with Highest Honors in 1981. He also received his master’s degree with emphasis in taxation in 1981, graduating With Distinction. Mr. Woods successfully completed the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examination that same year, receiving the Elijah Watts Sells award, given annually for the 100 highest scores nationwide, and received the highest score in the state.

A California native, Mr. Woods was associated with a nationally recognized law firm, and also served as in-house counsel to a publicly traded firm. Mr. Woods became a member of the Utah State Bar since 1984, of the Nevada State Bar in 1990, and the Arizona bar in 2001. In 1995 Mr. Woods and John Erickson founded the firm.

Mr. Woods specialized in taxation and estate planning. He also had considerable experience in handling federal and state securities registrations, commercial and real estate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and litigated matters. Mr. Woods represented individuals and companies in federal and state tax disputes, in the courts, and before the IRS and state tax agencies.
